371 College Dr, Sidney, NE 69162
The Alliance Campus was initially established as a nursing school in 1957. Though the campus was long ago integrated into the Western Nebraska Community College system, nursing remains a popular program in Alliance. But there is more! The Alliance Campus also offers a large selection of courses each semester and is equipped with Interactive Video (ITV) distance learning classrooms, so you can attend classes that are being held concurrently in Scottsbluff or Sidney.
The Powerline & Construction Maintenance Technology program also routinely attracts a large number of students each year. The Powerline Lab and Indoor Training Facility gives students an opportunity to train in the classroom, outdoors, or in the newly created Indoor Training Facility.
For over 50 years, WNCC’s Sidney Campus has made a positive impact in the southern Panhandle. The campus offers a wide selection of program offerings on campus and via ITV, allowing students to attend classes that are being held concurrently in Scottsbluff or Alliance. Students on the Sidney Campus have the option of living on campus in apartment-style residence halls.
The Sidney Campus is home to the Aviation Maintenance program, the only FAA-approved program in the state of Nebraska. The program trains students to perform diagnostics on and repair aircraft, and is housed at the Sidney Municipal Airport.
In 2018, the Sidney Campus opened the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center to serve as a business incubator for start-up businesses in the area. The newly created program provides accepted applicants free office rent and utilities for two years, and a breadth of business resources.
